Okay, I'm confused. I bought a mic for my go pro and an adapter. When I watch the video, I don't understand what is happening. Either the external microphone isn't recording, or both the external and internal are. I tried two different videos: one where I taped the mic to my intake heatshield with the camera in the cabin, and another where I stuck the camera outside and put the mic next to the exhaust. The first one I hear all the noises inside the cabin, which makes no sense (there's no way the turn signal clicker is audible next to the intake), the second I hear TONS of wind noise which shouldn't be a problem where the microphone is.
Am I missing something? Or is my random ebay mic adapter not okay for the gopro?
EDIT: Did another test. Camera outside, mic inside, talked to mic. Can only hear outside. Plugged mic into computer, mic makes noise. My cheap adapter must not be working. I'm going to see if I can find the go pro adapter at best buy tomorrow and try that
